Axis is a double-entry accounting and operations system whose first interface is an assistant, designed and built by Mercurial Minds.
Why an assistant first
Most of the work in a finance, operations or procurement office is turning a document or an event into entries: reading an order, copying prices, checking a delivery, posting a correction. That work is exact, repetitive and important.
Axis gives that work to an assistant and keeps the judgement with people. The assistant reads, checks and prepares. The rules that decide what an entry means live in auditable code, and every decision that changes the books waits for the person whose decision it is.
Axis is shaped alongside working finance, operations and procurement teams at a manufacturer, who test it from their own seats.
